A report recently released by Analysys International Industry Database titled “China Mobile IM Market Survey in Q4 of 2009”, shows that China Mobile IM active register accounts reached 1360 million till the end of last year. Among them, mobile QQ with 60% market share was the leader.
Till the end of 2009, total register account number of Mobile IM industry has achieved 3500 million, active account number has exceeded 1300 million. Yanghui Ren, analyst from Analysys International believes that growth can be sustained originally from two fields, one is sustained market investment from vendors and Telecom operators; another one is user experience improvement of Mobile IM services.
According to the statistic of active register accounts, Tecent Mobile QQ, China Mobile Fetion and Microsoft Mobile MSN are the top three, accounting for 93.5% share in whole China Mobile IM market. Especially, Mobile QQ occupied 59.6% market share.(Alice He)
