80 Companies to Share China Telecom’s 5b Bill

More than 80 companies reportedly are bidding for China Telecom’s 50 million 3G phones purchase project. The results are excepted to be out as fast as June this year.

Not long ago, China Telecom issued a purchase tender, the suppliers involved in the procurement up to 13, and more than 80 mobile phone companies are developing competitive bidding program.

In accordance with the schedule, those firms involved in the project need to submit their bid proposal before March 8 this year.

It is learned that the total price of the 50 million 3G phones is more than CNY 5 billion, as each was priced between CNY 1000 and CNY 1999.

According to China Telecom, the minimum initial purchase amount of this project is 10,000 units. (Paul)
