China Telecom’s new IPTV service, “High Star”, is likely to give a fillip to IPTV industry in the country.
According to reports, the national IPTV users have reached 4 million, of which China Telecom's IPTV users are over 3 million.
According to China Telecom officials, the newly launched, "High Star, an IPTV service for the hotel industry, uses high-definition standard and supports Flash to product EPG screen.
Experts are of the opinion that the performance and user experiences of "High Star” are more superior than the family version of IPTV, as well as more in keeping with the operator and service concept of high-star hotels.
"High Star " IPTV business is supported by Beijing Tong Fang Yi Hao Technology Co., Ltd., a specialized interactive television service provider owned by Tsinghua Tongfang , which provides technical and systems supporting.
In addition to video programs, this service also offers other things. For example, Ruili TV e-magazine focuses on fashion staffs, while the real-time airline information and booking service serves business people. What’s more, lots of personalized hotel business services such as booking and ordering are also available.
