Inspite of financial crisis, Jiangsu service outsourcing is going strong. Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce reported that in 2009 Jiangsu service outsourcing contract value touched $3.722 billion in total, up 145% compared to the same period of last year. The exclusive value of service outsourcing achieved $2.796 billion, growing 177% comparing to the same period of last year. Besides, this Jiangsu keeps a leading position in industrial scale, carrier construction and employee training across China.
According to sources, there are up to six provincial demonstration cities of service outsourcing, the number of provincial service outsourcing demonstration regions are up to 34, which covers 12 provinces and municipalities. The total sales value of Nanjing, Wuxi and Suzhou cities occupied 95% in total amount. Among them, Nanjing service outsourcing contract value reached $1.351 billion. The contract value number of Wuxi service outsourcing was $1.067 billion and exclusive value achieved $7530 million. Suzhou service outsourcing contract amount reached $1.047 billion, exclusive value attained $8710 million.
Meanwhile, Jiangsu province has built over 20 million square meters space to carry outsourcing services.
Till 31 December 2009, the number of registered outsourcing enterprises in Jiangsu Province was over 2600, of which employee number were almost 307 thousand. Till November 2009, there are 240 enterprises of which offshore outsourcing services exceeded $3 million.
Moreover, International market have opened the gate for them and business from EU and America countries are rising rapidly, accounting for 40% of total amount. U.S. supassing Japan was the biggest business resource country. Asia pacific market still keeps the leading position, contributing almost in 50% of the total, of which Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore markets were growing rapidly.(Translated by Alice He)
