According to the report "The equipment manufacturers market research of China mobile market" from iSuppli Research, ZTE and Huawei lead the 3G market shares with 35 percent and 30 percent shares of the total 3G market in China respectively.
Especially in the CDMA2000 market, ZTE heads the list ,as Nortel and Samsung have out, and Motorola's share continue to decline, leaving only a handful “cakes”.
2009 is the first year of 3G in China, when the three major 3G standard-based network were deployed, and the results were wonderful. The additional network capacity was more than 1.5 million carrier frequency compared to 2008, and the total 3G network capacity increased to more than 2.2 million carrier frequencies.
Chinese big two vendors, ZTE and Huawei have done good jobs in 2009, especially for ZTE, which has become the NO.1 CDMA provider around the world through last year’s great progress. (Paul)
