Chinese government stresses on Internet of Things

Premier Wen Jiabao has emphasized that it is important for us to devote ourselves to make breakthroughs in the key technologies, such as Smart Sensor Web and Internet of Things.

He also called for deploying R&D of post-IP era related technologies as soon as possible and make sure that information networks industry is used as the 'engine' to upgrade of industry and benefit society.

In computing, the Internet of Things refers to a network of objects, such as household appliances. It is often a self-configuring wireless network.

"It is the first time that government in China has made statement about Internet of Things. It shows that Internet of Things has become part of the overall strategic planning. And the government expects that China can catch up with the new technologies after the wave of Internet as quickly as possible”, Ren Wenjie Researcher in First Innovation Securities said.

Affected by this statement, stocks with the concept of Internet of Things in both markets burst out together again. According to the result, information device and electronic components occupied the 1st and third of the industry XBP ranking list.

However Ren Wenjie while warning said that :nowadays in China, the clear commercial mode for Internet of Things hasn't occurred yet. So it is impossible to decide which companies can truly make profit from that. In addition, it is still early to talk about benefit. Most vendors' stocks have been highly assessed hat is to say investors must pay attention to the risk.
