ZTE Corporation (SZSE: 000063 and SEHK: 0763) is expected to rank the first in China Mobile's bidding invitation for package transport network (PTN) equipment, Li Qin, manager for ZTE PTN solutions disclosed at a form.
Li Qin said that ZTE accumulates experience in PTN network deployment, operation, and maintenance because the company has been carrying out deeper cooperation with China Mobile and participating in various testing and promotion of PTN mature commercial use. Currently, ZTE has already started PTN pilot building in 16 provinces, which laid the foundation for ZTE's success in the competition.
As of September 2009, ZTE had achieved PTN trial commercial use for three carriers in the country. PTN network is widely applied by Guangdong Mobile, Jiangsu Mobile, Jiangxi Mobile, Guizhou Mobile, Hebei Mobile, Henan Mobile, Gansu Mobile, Shaanxi Telecom, Zhejiang Telecom, Guangdong Telecom, Jiangsu Telecom, and Fujian Unicom, respectively.
