SMS contribute 10 percent in Revenue of China

摘 要:In 2008, China Mobile's listed companies reported a total income of about RMB 412.3 billion, which means that the SMS service created approximately 40 billion of China Mobile’s total revenue.
China Mobile CEO Wang Jianzhou while speaking at a meeting said that the daily average volume of SMS sent through China Mobile’s networks has exceeded 1.8 billion, while during the holidays, the number even went up to 10 billion.
"It is not realistic to make such a large number of SMS under control for carriers."said Wang.” Even so, China Mobile will still actively take the initiative to lead a civilized and healthy culture of using mobile phone, and resolutely crack down on bad information activities.”
After the meeting, Wang told Microvoip.com that on China Mobile about 1.8 billion text messages are sent on an average per day and it cobntributes about 9% to 10% in China Mobile’s total income.
