China offers great scope for the development of call center industry. Reports say that in future China’s enterprises will only require a minimum of RMB 400 to construct a call center, which is expected to spur the domestic call center market.
The call center industry is over 10 years old in China. In 2000,the domestic call center seats was only about 50,000, but at the end of 2008, the total number of seats in China mainland had reached 396,000 and the market size exceeded RMB 38.6 billion. It is expected that by the end of 2009, the domestic call center seats will be more than 600,000 .
“The next generation call center and customer managed platform will be based on cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) model. The total number of call center seats in United States reached over 3 million at it’s peak. India had also more than one million seats. So China’s call center has great potential for future development. “Said Zhichuan Wang, CEO of Century Electrical Network.
It, he said, offers great chances for domestic as well as overseas providers.
