Huawei gains China Mobile's 4G contract

Huawei, one of the China’s largest telecom vendors, has announced recently that it has signed an agreement with China Mobile to deploy the first TD-LTE network in the world.
It is said that besides the deployment of TD-LTE network, Huawei will also provide the performance of services as well as other technical services.
"Up to now, the first-stage construction of the TD-LTE network has finished. Users can access to the Mobile Internet with a downlink of 29 Mbps in the area of a 5.28 square kilometers. The services include HD live show, HD video surveillance, high speed Mobile Internet access and the release of mobile information," a spokesman of Huawei said.
Li Changzu, president of Huawei's Chinese division, said that among the existing 4 LTE networks all over the world, Huawei has built the fist one and the largest one of Euro. Huawei has globally also deployed over 20 labs with the help of the world's top operators.
The details of this contract were however not known.
