CSL held the opening ceremony for its LTE technology center in 25th of Novermber, it demonstrated that CSL technology center equiped with LTE advanced devices,which will play a key role in HK
It is reported that this center has core network layout and equiped with radio devices, which will be first Asia LTE commercial test network base.
Previously, CSL announced that it would launch 900 MHz spectrum UMTS HSPA+ services in HK this september, after that CSL technology center would start to use. At that time, CSL had signed a cooperation agreement with ZTE that would establish LTE commercial test network within CSL’s Next Generation Network, which is related to this time’s opening ceremony of LTE technology center.
Transmition speed up to 127 Mbps
CSL demonstrated how to use LTE in the ceremony, the transmition speed up to 127 Mbps.
Tarek Robbiati, the CEO of CSL emphasized that the constrction of CSL technology center is a sign of LTE technology involvement in HK market. CSL already held the world leading technology of Next Generation Network. For the sake of customer growing requirment, CSL contitune to establish LTE to achieve faster boardband network speed and higher network coverage.
Since the official launch of Next Generation Network in March 2009, the data flow of CSL subscribers has increased by fifteen times, which makes CSL very confident to LTE network.
