ZTE, Goolge Join Hands for Mobile Internet

ZTE Corp. has signed an agreement with the online search giant Google Inc. about their strategic partnership in the mobile Internet market, the Chinese telecoms equipment provider announced lately.
ZTE promised to embed the popular Google services like online search and e-map into its cellphones, including both ordinary cellphones and smartphones, according to insiders. Besides, the two companies are set to co-develop customized mobile terminals bundled with characteristic mobile Internet service packages.
ZTE is to launch more mobile terminals adopting the Google Android operation systems for various markets, insiders said, adding that the Chinese company will cooperate with China Mobile Ltd. to put up Ophones equipped with the latter's applications in the first half of 2010.
In addition, ZTE has also joined hands with some US and European mobile operators in the sectors of mobile life, business, commerce, information, SNSes, videos, and games.
